What happens when nerves are injured?

Our body is covered by a network of nerves: this is called the peripheral nervous system. If those nerves are injured e.g. discomfort, pressure, or long-term metabolic disorders, such as diabetes, may cause discomfort. The body can “recover” injured nerves through its internal “repair workshops”. These recovery processes take an extremely long time. In those cases, it is very useful to introduce certain substances into the body that enter the composition of peripheral nerve cells and increase their conduction.

How can Keltican Forte help?

Keltican Forte contains nutrients uridinmonophosphate, vitamin B12 and folic acid that help the body’s self-regeneration processes.

Uridinmonophosphate (UMF) is the most important intermediate in the biosynthesis of pyrimidone nucleotides, which in the form of triphosphates (UTF and CTF) are coenzymes in a number of processes that lead to the synthesis of phosphatidylcholine, swingomyelin, and other gingypomyelins and others. These compounds are the basic structural elements of the cell membrane and are therefore of great importance for the proper functioning of the nervous system.

Due to the lack of adequate enzymes, nerve cells are the only ones in the body that can not synthesize pyrimidone ring-containing compounds on their own, the additional intake of uridin monophosphate (UMF) leads to an increased presence of important metabolically active uridine and cytidine phosphates.

It is essential in the process of regenerating peripheral nerve cells. As a whole, targeted stimulation of neuronal metabolism on pyrimidone nucleotides increases nerve conduction velocity, supports, and accelerates physiological mechanisms for peripheral nervous system regeneration.

Vitamin B12 is important for cell division, blood formation, epithelialization and regeneration. Vitamin B12 participates in the synthesis of purine and pyrimidone bases, nucleic acids and proteins. It is also involved in the synthesis of myelin and DNA and is essential for the functioning of the nervous system.

Folic acid in the body is a precursor (transformation occurs only in the presence of vitamin B12) of tetrahydrofolic acid, which is a coenzyme in a number of reactions, especially in the metabolism of proteins, nucleic acids and amino acids. Folic acid also plays a major role in the biosynthesis of phospholipids, neurotransmitters, and hemoglobin.

How should Keltican Forte be used?

The recommended daily dose is one capsule daily between meals with little fluid. Prolonged use depends on your needs. Please consult your doctor or pharmacist. Keltican forte is well tolerated with prolonged use. Keltican forte contains animal gelatin which is part of the capsule shell. The capsules can be opened, and the mini-tablets contained in it can be taken without the capsule itself. Keltican forte is also suitable for diabetics.

What else do you need to know about Keltican forte?

Keltican forte is available only in pharmacies in packs of 20 and 40 capsules. It should not be used as a substitute for a varied diet. Keep out of the reach of small children.
